Job Description:

The Controller will oversee financial operations, reporting, and job costing functions for the general contractor in the construction industry. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the accounting & finance department in a permanent position based in Rockford. Description Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support business objectives. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. Collaborate with project teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors as needed. Evaluate and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. Present financial results and recommendations to senior management. Profile A successful Controller should have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 6 years of accounting experience, ideally with some experience in construction industry Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
