Job Description MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC – WEST CHICAGO – 1ST SHIFT \n (MOVING TO NORTHBROOK START OF 2026) \n \n Requirements: Mechanical aptitude, strong understanding of facility and equipment repair, intermediate math skills, high school diploma or equivalent, eagerness to learn and grow. The organization is looking to train, promote, and grow careers! \n \n Why You’ll Want This Job: \n Zero drama, zero clutter: Our facilities are well-maintained, safety is always first, and everything has its place. \n Fair pay for real work: $25–$35/hour based on experience, plus overtime when you want it—your effort is reflected right in your paycheck. \n Career growth: Bring drive and skill and we’ll offer you real advancement—your ambition opens doors here. \n Work variety: Troubleshooting, repairs, scheduled maintenance, installations—no two days are the same. \n \n \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n\t Maintain and repair facility utility systems—think electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and structure.\n\t Perform preventive maintenance on manual, semiautomated, and automated equipment using blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer specs.\n\t Record all work, findings, and recommendations clearly on provided work orders—details matter here.\n\t Troubleshoot using PLCs, CNC control panels, and similar displays; diagnose and fix problems efficiently.\n\t Make machine adjustments and repairs according to company safety standards (operational interlocks, sensors, controls, isolation systems).\n\t Support the installation, testing, and validation of new production equipment with our engineering team.\n\t Stay current—maintain certifications, documentation, and machine histories.\n\t Identify and source replacement parts and supplies, making purchase decisions responsibly.\n\t Prioritize work requests, planned or unplanned, based on facility safety and production needs—even without direct supervision.\n\t Follow all Lock Out Tag Out and Arc Flash protocols—no exceptions.\n\t Jump in and assist wherever needed—teamwork keeps our facility running.\n \n \n Qualifications: \n\n \n\t High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a huge plus .\n\t 3 years of direct maintenance experience, in manufacturing environment.\n\t CNC experience and facility mechanical experience (Swiss CNC highly preferred) \n\t Proven troubleshooting skills with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems. \n\t Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.\n\t Physically able to stand for shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.\n\t Clear written and oral communication—you’ll be expected to document everything concisely.\n\t Willing and able to travel to Northbrook, IL in early 2026 (brand new facility; company relocation to Northbrook)\n \n The Honest Scoop: \nFlexibility is key—while your shift is set, your days can change as needed. \nMaintenance can be messy; everyone is responsible for keeping it clean. \n Relocation to Northbrook is required—no exceptions . \nIf you have Swiss CNC experience, you’ll have an edge. \n \n What are the benefits as an employee with Kelly? \nhttps://www.mykelly.us/us -mykelly/perks/ \n \n Interested candidates can reply to this ad, or send their updated resume to: corh521@kellyservices.com \nCan also call Corey at 847-729-2575 \n \nCB \nP1 \n \n \n\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\tAs part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
