Job Description:
Field Service Technician – Industrial Machinery We are seeking a
skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our dynamic
team supporting high-performance metal processing and automated
material handling systems across North America. This is a
customer-facing role that requires technical expertise,
professionalism, and a commitment to delivering top-tier service
and support. Key Responsibilities: Travel to customer sites across
North America during the workweek to install, service, and
troubleshoot complex industrial machinery, including coil slitting
systems, levelers, packaging systems, and other coil processing
equipment. Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC-based electrical
diagnostics, repairs, and integration of large-scale systems.
Collaborate with on-site personnel including equipment operators,
maintenance staff, and plant managers to ensure smooth installation
and ongoing support. Read and interpret mechanical and electrical
drawings to support installation and repair activities. Provide
training and technical support to end-users on system operation and
maintenance procedures. Work overtime as needed to ensure customer
satisfaction and project completion. Qualifications: 3 years of
experience working with large industrial or manufacturing
equipment. Solid knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., troubleshooting,
programming fundamentals). Proficiency in mechanical and hydraulic
systems. Ability to interpret and work from mechanical drawings and
schematics. Comfortable with frequent travel (Monday through
Friday); home on most weekends. Strong communication and customer
service skills. Preferred Attributes: Previous field service
experience with industrial equipment. Background in metal
processing equipment or coil handling systems is a plus.
Willingness to work overtime and demonstrate flexibility to meet
