Controls Substation Engineer will be responsible for the design,
development, and implementation of electrical substations for
utility and industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have
strong technical knowledge of high-voltage substation equipment,
industry standards, and project management skills. This role

successful candidate will have the freedom to work remotely from
the comfort of their own home. This exciting role requires a
dynamic individual who is not only proficient in high voltage,
15-500 kV substations, calculations such as relay burden, voltage
drop, and short circuit calculations, but also has a comprehensive
understanding of Protection & Controls. Responsibilities: As a
Protection & Controls Substation Engineer, you will be entrusted
with the following responsibilities: 1. Design, analyze, and
supervise the installation and operation of high voltage, 15-500 kV
substations. 2. Conduct and interpret complex calculations related
to relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations to
ensure optimal performance and safety. 3. Develop and implement
Protection & Controls strategies to safeguard the integrity and
efficiency of our substations. 4. Collaborate closely with various
teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the
substations. 5. Maintain detailed documentation of all work,
including designs, calculations, and analysis results. 6. Stay
updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and
regulations to ensure our systems are always at the forefront. 7.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications: To be considered for this exciting role, you must
possess the following qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years
of experience in a similar role, specifically with high voltage,
15-500 kV substations. 3. Proficiency in conducting and
interpreting relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit
calculations. 4. Solid understanding and experience with Protection
& Controls. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to
work under pressure. 6. Strong communication skills, both written
and verbal. 7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in
a remote setting. 8. Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is
