Job Description:
Design Engineer II sought by Wacker Neuson America Corp. in
Menomonee Falls, WI. 40 hrs./wk. Duties include: Conceptualize
product designs & analyze/select materials & process for products.
Perform eng’g calculations & coord. Finite Element Analysis.
Perform component & machine cost analysis. Research industry &
govt. standards (CE, UL, etc.). Create models & drawings in CAD.
Utilize developed project mgmt, Finite Element Analysis,
hydraulics, & electrical skills to work projects. Research req. of
mfg’g standards for components, subassemblies, & machines. Support
creation of machine docs. (manuals, labels, literature). Produce
drawings, perform bolted joint design, tolerance stack-up,
geometric tolerancing, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, & hazard
analysis. Create & present project updates for exec. team. Compile
info. for writing Eng’g Change Notices, create & maintain Bill of
Materials for products. Provide prod. support to address production
design & mfg’g issues through quality notifications & deviations.
Work with Product Support & QA to improve machine warranty rates &
resolve customer issues. Be eng’g contact for specific machine or
line that is mfg’g product. With R&D, create test plans to
evaluate product to ensure specs met. Evaluate results &
determine/coordinate eng’g action to address product issues. May
speak at various tech. forums to provide product knowledge &
product application info. Work with cross functional depts &
suppliers to ensure projects meet timeline, cost, performance,
quality, & safety. May serve as tech. leader for small to mid-sized
projects. MIN REQ: Bach. degree, or foreign equiv., in Mech. Eng’g,
Elect. Eng’g, or related field. 3 yrs exp in job offered. SPECIAL
REQ: 3 yrs exp in: mfg’g environment; computer skills including
Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 1 yr exp. in 2D & 3D Computer Aided
