Job Description
The Corporate HR Manager is responsible for planning, organizing
and directing various human resources activities in support of
corporate goals and objectives across multiple corporate functions
by working closely with functional leaders and their management
teams. This individual will proactively address current and future
needs of the functional teams with an objective of increasing
organizational capability, effectiveness and individual
performance.
This individual will provide generalist guidance and support for a
wide range of areas including: HR Strategy, Organization Design &
Effectiveness, Talent Management/Employee Development,
Compensation, Employee Relations, HR Policies & Procedures, HR
legal compliance and Company Culture.
Primary Responsibilities
Build and foster relationships to effectively partner with the key
functional stakeholders
Work with functional group leadership in area(s) of responsibility
to identify high potentials and support design and execution of
development plans for these individuals
Anticipate HR issues as a result of functional strategies and
partner with managers to create proactive solutions
Initiate and manage implementation of various initiatives in
support of our HR strategic plan for talent acquisition,
performance management, organization design, employee relations,
leadership development, and corporate responsibility
Manage risk through preventative strategies to reduce exposure to
legal/regulatory matters
Partner on vision and strategy for functional groups and identify
implications for organizational strategy
Have a global orientation in support of corporate international
managers and employees on various HR matters
Develop and implement strategic workforce planning for functional
groups; supports and maintains organization staffing through
effective recruiting, and interviewing processes and counsels
managers on candidate selection
Identify, customize and deploy training opportunities required to
meet functional goals
Support and leverage talent across functions locally and globally -
identify opportunities for moving talent within functions and
across businesses for organization needs and development
Partners with functional leaders and HR leaders across the
organization to help integrate diversity and inclusion strategies
and programs into our people and business processes
Lead and support functional leaders with annual talent review,
calibration and performance review processes
Develop and administer regular job evaluations, salary ranges and
annual merit review programs, using relevant market data as needed
to maintain competitiveness
Coordinate and collaborate with HR Center of Expertise teams as
needed
Support the functional groups for effective on-boarding and
off-boarding of employees
Supports managers with employee engagement through effective
communications with functional teams
Analyzes employment-related concerns, patterns from exit interview
feedback, and business needs to proactively develop and implement
action plans to address issues
Balances legal exposure with desired business outcomes and consults
with Corporate Employee Relations department as needed
Adapt to, and support change management and coach leaders on change
strategies
Be a values and culture champion and support and coach managers on
leadership development to create an empowered workforce
Handle employee investigations and manage conflict resolution
Advise/coach management on appropriate HR practices and policies
and ensures implementation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred
S/PHR desired
12 + years of HR experience, preferably with manufacturing
organizations
Experience leading and implementing talent management strategies
and actions
In-depth knowledge of external HR trends and issues
Experience in all facets of human resources including knowledge of
recruitment processes, benefit and compensation administration,
employee relations, and legal compliance requirements
Strong written/verbal communication skills; good listening skills;
a team player who demonstrates the ability to relate to employees
at all levels of the Company and who is sensitive to cultural
differences
Approachable, inspires trust and confidence and uses good judgment
and discretion with highly confidential business and employee
information
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw
valid conclusions, be able to escalate the issue/problem with
proposed solutions to senior leadership when needed
Independent and organized work style; effectively manages time and
prioritizes work load, assume and manage multiple tasks with
minimal supervision
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience
creating reports from an HRIS strongly preferred Workday a
plus)
Travel; less than 15%
