ASU/PACU Clinical Nurse Manager - (83078)

Position Highlights:

Position: ASU/PACU Clinical Nurse Manager
Location: Glenbrook Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Hours: Days
Required Travel: Ability to travel to other sites as needed

What you will need:

  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Business or a Healthcare related discipline preferred.
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification required, ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire, National certification preferred in Perianesthesia or Leadership.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in relevant clinical setting required. Previous management experience preferred with demonstrated progressive clinical leadership.
    Skills: Perioperative/Perianesthesia experience preferred. Ability to effectively manage operational finances, relationships, patient outcomes, communication, and conflict.

  • Hold 24/7 accountability and responsibility for the professional nursing practice, professional development, performance improvement initiatives, daily operations, and fiscal management for the assigned clinical unit.
  • Adhere to all regulatory compliance agencies requirements.
  • Create a culture that promotes engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Create and maintain a supportive, resilient, and healthy work environment.
  • Promote loyalty through engagement activities with key stakeholders: Patients, families, nurses, physicians, and employees.
  • Improve the patient experience of care including quality and satisfaction
  • Promote professional development.
  • Lead department quality initiatives and advance practice using research and evidence-based practice.
  • Create operational improvements with innovative and strategic change management.
