The Evans Scholars Foundation, headquartered in Glenview, Illinois, was founded in 1930 after famed amateur golfer Charles "Chick" Evans Jr. asked the WGA to administer the fund he had established to send deserving caddies to college. Today, the Foundation is funded by contributions from Par Club members across the country as well as proceeds from our championships. The Evans Scholars Program provides academic, professional and social resources that help students maintain a cumulative 3.4 GPA and 95 percent graduation rate. There are a record 1,100 Evans Scholars enrolled in 22 leading universities for the 2022-23 academic year, and 11,815 young men and women have graduated as Evans Scholars since 1930.The Manager, Alumni & Scholarship Events will oversee our 20+ Alumni-led events each spring/summer, in addition to our 20+ Selection Meetings each winter. Ideal candidates will be individuals with a hospitality and/or sports management focused career path who are determined in their pursuit of hosting successful events.Responsibilities:

• Manage and run successful fundraisers and other Evans Scholars events
• Achieve revenue goals for fundraising events by keeping close track of profits & losses
• Analyze and execute on Beverage Event Orders and other contracts
• Create event websites, keep track of registration & sponsorships, oversee auction and raffle aspects of events
• Handle logistics of each event from beginning to end, and ensuring post-event reports & wrap-up occurs
• Keep up consistent communication with guests and committees - via Outlook and Mailchimp
• Work collaboratively with Scholarship and Education teams to understand their unique needs for events
• Travel required during the year - mostly local to the Midwest area
• Perform other duties as assignedQualified candidates will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, marketing or related area
  • Minimum of 1-year sales/hospitality job experience
  • Experience in sports, event management, or hospitality sales is preferred
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain high-level relationships with company contacts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and multi-task
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highest degree of ethics and professional conduct
