  • 33162 Sterling Ponds Blvd, Sterling Heights, MI, 48312, US Posting Date 12/07/2022, 10:20PM Job Schedule Full time Job DescriptionAs the Senior Manager - Environmental Product Compliance, you will manage a global team which oversees the management of all environmental product compliance (EPC) requests for REACH, RoHS, WEEE, Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals and other such product regulations. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, customers and vendors and provide guidance to their team to ensure required reporting meets customer expectations.Responsibilities:
    • Observes and reviews company operations to ensure compliance with various environmental and hazardous materials regulations.
    • Consults, advises, and trains various individuals and groups on compliance with regulatory environmental and hazardous materials programs as required by local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Implements policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with company and governmental standards and regulations for product compliance.
    • Conducts on-site hazardous materials and environmental evaluations, assessments, and investigations.
    • Analyzes regulations and pending legislation on hazardous material issues to provide input and identify any potential impact on company activities.
    • Partners with FAA, DOT, other local and federal governmental departments, and codeshare partners in matters involving regulatory compliance with applicable Code Federal Regulation's (CFR).
    • Interprets, administers, and adheres to 49 CFR and IATA DGR, investigating any incidents or violations.
    • Reports findings to the appropriate management and facilitate the implementation of required corrective measures.
    • Directs the coordination, scheduling, preparation and execution of audits as they relate to conflict minerals and hazardous materials.
    • Manages the development, review, and implementation of training materials related to Internal Evaluations, and Product Compliance Management Systems.
    • Provides technical leadership to team and department members.Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies & Sustainability, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain Management required.
      • Master's Degree - Master of Science - Environmental Sustainability, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Master of Business Administration - Supply Chain Management and/or MBA preferred.
      • A minimum of 8 years of relevant environmental, regulatory, engineering or inventory management experience.
      • Previous experience in legal, technical or a regulated environment.
      • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
      • Effective organizational skills.
      • Basic PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft office Suite, including Excel.
      • 10-15 years of relevant environmental, regulatory, engineering or inventory management experience preferred.
      • Experience in the wire & cable, network security, or utility industry preferred.
      • Ability to travel up to 25%The expected salary range for this role is -$115,300 - -$202,000. -This is the -lowest to highest salary we -reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for -this -role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay -more or less than the -posted range, and the range may be -modified in the future.
