Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2022 Chicago's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For and a 2018-2022 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, has an opportunity for a Manager - Fixed Income that executes and administers the organization's fixed income investment program and its securities lending program as directed by the organization's Investment Policy, Guidelines, and Restrictions. The position requires the ability to add value to the organization's investment program through management of financial risk/return through structuring fixed income asset allocation, selecting and monitoring asset managers, and managing the financial reporting and review process for fixed income portfolios. More specifically, as the Manager - Fixed Income you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain and cultivate external asset manager relationships, serving as primary point of contact
• Review internal and external reports to monitor asset manager portfolios and implement fixed income strategies
• Execute appropriate risk management strategies for the organization's fixed income funds
• Coordinate and create monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and disclosure material including Monthly Investment Report, Performance Attribution, Quarterly Investment Summary Report and Investment Funds Description
• Research and prepare fixed income reports and recommendations, including investment guideline changes to enhance returns and manage risks
• Perform financial analysis for ad hoc allocation and performance analysis
• Communicate investment fund information to institutional investors and benefit plan participants through in-person meetings, virtual events, videos, blogs and research papers
• Discuss and report financial market developments to Wespath Investments Division
• Participate on cross-functional organizational project planning teams

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field of study
  • 7 years of analytical experience in fixed income markets
  • Expert understanding of investment analysis tools (Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet) and fixed income marketsPreferred Requirements / Qualifications:
    • CFA or CFA candidate
    • MBA or advanced degree in finance, economics, or accounting
