Job Description:

JOB POSITION: Medical Assistant
LOCATION: Based at our Roselle clinic location, travel will be required to other nearby locations on other days.
REPORTS TO: Operations Area Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION : Responsibilities include verifying patient information, patient care and assisting the physician as required. This position may also be cross-trained to perform front desk responsibilities.
Rooming and discharging of patients
Assisting doctors in:
Patient care
Patient data collection and data entry
Taking vitals
Knowledge and ability to take appropriate x-rays
Stock supplies in exam rooms
Scheduling appointments
Surgery, tests
Other duties as assigned
Certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare position
Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
Possess good communication skills
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently
Self-directed and willing to take initiative
Open-minded to change
Decisive, not afraid to make a decision
Willing to roll up sleeves and pitch in with staff and doctors to solve problems
Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Quantitative focus, creates a fact based, "no blame" culture
Proven ability to prioritize and organize
Committed to continuous performance improvement
Function effectively in a fast-paced work environment
Competitive compensation, beginning at $19.50 per hour.
Continuing education preferred
Certified Medical Assistant or Podiatry Assistant certificate preferred
Schedules run from Monday through Saturday and you may be required to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month. Daily schedules are typically 4-12/hour shifts.
Local travel is required to locations within your assigned geographic region. This role will be assigned to cover a geographic area however you may be required to occasionally travel outside of your assigned regional area to participate in activities at the WFA Mount Prospect, IL headquarters and support the other regional coverage needs of the organization. The role must have reliable transportation and be able to travel site to site, as assigned.
Physical demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job including but are not limited to: walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, standing, and crouching
The employee must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
