business.SummaryThe Licensed Practical or Vocation Nurse (LPN/LVN)
is responsible for all departmental functions aligned with the
mission, vision, and goals of PM Pediatrics. The LPN/LVN role is an
opportunity for a pediatric LPN/LVN to apply their skills in a
pediatric urgent care setting and assist with primary patient care
based on individual patient needs within their scope of practice
under the physician's direct supervision. This position maintains
effective working relationships with all customers, including
patients/families, physicians, employees, volunteers, and
vendors.DescriptionJob Responsibilities:Provider clinical and
administrative support for providers, patients, and office
operationsObtain medical history, patient vital signs, intake, and
prioritize patient carePerform procedures (venipuncture, IV
insertion, urinary straight catheterization), administer
medications (oral, rectal, IM, and IV), and assist the physician
with total patient care within the scope of practiceRemaining
knowledgeable in pediatric pharmacologyBe an integral part of the
patient care team and assist with patient care within the scope of
practicePerform monthly quality control checks in the officeAssist
in performing quality control testing in the labAbility to assist
the physician with patient care, positioning, and comfort during
the x-ray processKeep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical
supplies, maintain instruments, and proper sterilization tools and
equipment as requiredPractice standard safety practices and
precautionsHelps patients in distress by responding to emergencies
and promptly notifying physicianEstablish effective rapport with
clients, families, other employees, and physiciansMaintains
operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed
changes to management teamContributes to team effort by
accomplishing related results as neededMaintains safe, secure, and
healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and

Stay)QualificationsPediatric experience is required; Pediatric ER,
Pediatric hospital unit, or Pediatrics Urgent Care Experience
preferredActive state nursing license or active compact state
licensure from the state you residePrior experience and competency
with nursing procedures (not limited to IV placement, urinary
straight catheterization, and medication administration)Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, Pediatric Advanced Life
Support (PALS) recommendedKnowledge of medical practice and
terminology, clinic's processes, and proceduresKnowledge of medical
equipment and instrumentsSkill in rapid assessment of the critical
presentation of the pediatric populationAbility to use sound
reasoning and judgment and act calm in emergenciesAbility to
