Job Description Rang Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rockford, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry / Cardiac PCU Location: Rockford, IL Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend & Holiday Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week We are actively seeking an experienced RN to join our Cardiac Telemetry / Stroke & Neuro Unit. This is a Step-Down/Cardiac PCU role requiring a strong cardiac background and the ability to manage complex neurological and telemetry patients. Requirements: - Current RN license in Illinois - Minimum of 1–2 years of recent cardiac step-down or telemetry experience - Certifications Required: - (BLS) - ACLS - NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) - Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Utilize the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members - Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy and nursing standards - Create and implement patient care plans in accordance with physician orders - Provide education and support to patients and their families - Maintain thorough and timely documentation of care provided - Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, including shared governance - Provide clinical guidance to other departments regarding patient care plans - Use critical thinking to enhance patient safety and elevate concerns as needed Note: “We are an equal opportunity employer.
