Job Description Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Joliet, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Overview: This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working in the Cardiac Cath Lab, with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred. The RN will provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safe, coordinated, and high-quality care. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care following hospital policies and clinical protocols - Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans - Continuously assess patient condition and document and communicate changes - Act as the primary coordinator between physicians, technicians, and other care team members - Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly - Advocate for patients throughout their care experience - Assist with discharge planning and coordinate follow-up needs with the healthcare team Required Qualifications: - Active Illinois RN license (IDFPR) - BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted) - 1–2 years of relevant RN experience - Cardiac Cath Lab experience – required - Interventional Radiology (IR) experience – strongly preferred On-Call Requirements: - Call coverage every 3rd weekend - Minimum of 16 on-call shifts within a 6-week period Ideal Candidate Profile: - Comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment - Strong cardiac and interventional nursing skills - Excellent communication and care-coordination abilities - Flexible and reliable for on-call coverage About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
