Munster offers excellent amenities, a welcoming community, and easy access to Chicago, making it an ideal location for healthcare professionals seeking Indiana nursing jobs./n /n/nTravel RN Job Details/n /n - Location: Munster, Indiana 46321/n - Unit: Intermediate Care North Unit (IMCU North)/n - Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)/n - Start Date: February 2, 2026/n - End Date: May 4, 2026/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (6-12 weekend shifts per contract)/n - Patient Ratio: 1:5/n - Electronic Documentation: EPIC required/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Intermediate Care RN experience/n - Active Indiana RN License or Compact State RN License (must be in hand at submission)/n - BLS certification (Basic Life Support)/n - Required to pass on-site EKG exam (Pass/Fail)/n - EPIC charting experience required/n - Omnicell experience required/n - Travel RN experience required/n - Ability to float to other hospital units (IMCU, Med/Surg, ICU, ER Hold)/n - COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical exemptions only)/n - First-time travel nurses not accepted/n - Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience/n /n/nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities/n /n - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, renal, and multi-system conditions/n - Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and dysrhythmias/n - Administer cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)/n - Manage central lines, chest tubes, surgical drains, and feeding tubes/n - Perform blood product administration, IV therapy, and pre/post hemodialysis management/n - Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition/n - Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic health records/n - Float to other units as required based on census and acuity/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services/n - Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital isolation precautions/n /n/n /n Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
