Nurse needed for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
responsible for providing specialized nursing care and monitoring
to cardiac patients. Responsibilities: Interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure Care for
patients undergoing procedures such as CABG, valve
replacement/repair, and managing devices like Intra-Aortic Balloon
Pump and Impella Post Cardiac Surgery and Pre/Post Cardiac
Catheterization/Intervention care Monitoring and management of
pulmonary artery lines and Swan Ganz catheters Administer and
manage medications including continuous IV paralytics, sedation,
and titration of cardiac drips Care for ventilated patients and
manage high flow nasal cannula and BiPAP/CPAP Interpretation of
ABGs and perform suctioning and ventilator management Implement
infection prevention protocols and manage surgical wounds and
drains Requirements: Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
certification 2 years of experience in CV ICU, and passing EKG test
required Epic experience preferred Experience managing multi-system
organ failures and cardiac surgery patients Requirements Required
for Onboarding BLS Core Mandatory Part I Core Mandatory Part II
