Position SummaryThe Human Resources Information Systems Data
Analyst II (HRIS Data Analyst II) acts as a subject matter expert
in HR data analytics and reporting, driving key data analytics
initiatives aligned with organizational goals. This position is
responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's HR
systems, maintaining security and compliance measures, and
providing technical support and training to end-users. They develop
reports, metrics, and dashboards, often in collaboration with
internal stakeholders, to provide actionable insights that inform
leadership and enable data-driven decisions aligned with company
goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Data Analysis &
Reporting
- Serve as the HR analytics subject matter expert, developing
dashboards, reports, and metrics that enable key stakeholders
across the organization to make data-driven decisions.
- Translate analyses into clear, actionable insights for
leadership, ensuring reports and dashboards align with business
objectives and overall company goals.
- Maintain standard reports, manage reporting schedules, and
respond to ad hoc data requests; create new reports, metrics,
and/or dashboards based on business needs.
- Manage annual compliance reporting activities (state and
federal EEO-1 reporting, ESG reporting) and stay informed on HR and
industry updates to anticipate new compliance reporting
requirements or needs.Data Management, Security, and Compliance
- Maintain data accuracy throughout HR systems, conducting
regular audits and reconciliations.
- Oversee and establish standard procedures for employee data
entry, maintenance, and validation.
- Ensure HRIS system compliance with data security and privacy
requirements.
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure security of sensitive HR
data across systems, including user access controls and data
encryption.HR System Configuration and Optimization
- Assess current HR systems and utilization; identify, recommend,
and implement improvements such as training, customization, and
enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of all HR
systems.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and vendor teams on customizing
and configuring HR systems to meet business needs, including
workflows, forms, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces.
- Investigate system issues, analyze user experience, and monitor
system usage to identify areas for improvement; recommend system
updates and process changes to increase automation, reduce costs,
and/or enhance services.
- Collaborate with other HRIS team members to plan, modify,
customize, and test HRIS applications and features.Process
Documentation, Training, and Support
- Create and maintain end-user training documentation, including
user guides, job aids, and other training materials.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR data
analytics; collaborate with HR team on maintaining process
documentation for HR and HRIS business processes.
- Provide ongoing user training and technical support for all HR
systems, ensuring efficient use of systems.Project Management
- Lead projects from conception to implementation, including
system upgrades, new feature implementation, process improvements,
report/dashboard additions, etc.
- Work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, IT, and other teams
as needed to ensure successful project execution.Professional
Development
- Stay informed about trends and developments in HRIS providers,
vendors, and technology.
- Engage in continuous education opportunities to enhance job
related knowledge and skills base.Other

organizational goals.Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology,
Business Administration, or a related field.Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in Human Resources.
- 2-5 years of experience working in HR information systems (e.g.
Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Paycom, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience in HR data management, reporting, and
analytics.
- Preferred: experience with acquisitions, case management
systems, system implementation or implementation of module(s)
within a system, and/or building/maintaining integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability
to think strategically when developing metrics and identifying
trends and solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to
effectively collaborate with others.
- Strong time and resource management skills, including ability
to manage multiple projects and tasks while meeting various
deadlines.
- Effective negotiation and persuasion skills, specifically when
consulting with business partners to implement change
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process
improvement.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a
team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all sensitive
information, demonstrated understanding of data-privacy laws and
policies.Physical Requirements
- Frequently communicates with employees and vendors using email
and phone.
- Frequent keyboardingTechnical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially
in Excel but also including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with data reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau,
or similar. Demonstrated experience designing, building, and
maintaining dashboards and reports.
- Proficient in HR/Payroll system utilization and administration,
especially in data management, databases, and reporting tools.
Experience with multiple systems a plus.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and compliance
requirements.
- Thorough understanding of data privacy and security measures
and regulations.
- Preferred: experience in Microsoft Access, Teams, Power
Automate, and/or Forms. Experience with SQL, Java, Python, or
similar programming language skills. Experience supporting or
leading system implementations, upgrades, or integrations.Who We

BenefitsSalary Range: $95,000-100,000 per yearBlue River PetCare
