Job Description The Business Solutions IT Director works all
aspects of solutions from alignment of technology strategy to
business strategy, solution shaping, solution architecture,
business case development, aspects of delivery through ongoing
support delivered to corporate functions as well as enterprise.
This includes the requirements gathering, functional solution
design, acceptance testing and SLA needs as well as the IT Project
leadership of all solutioning. This portion of the role is
essentially a Business Relationship Management role for the
Corporate functions. The enterprise solutions portion of the role
has Group IT Directors as the key stakeholders. Heavy relationship
management and communications competency is required for this role.
The Corporate and Enterprise Business Solutions IT Director is part
of the corporate Senior IT Leadership team and will serve a member
on the ITW ITLT which governs enterprise IT initiatives.
Provide direction, guidance and leadership within a
multi-disciplined group of systems professionals comprised of
business analysts, solutions analysts, business intelligence
experts and collaboration specialists.
Establish the structure, tools and processes required to insure
business requirements are met by management of the portfolio of
corporate solutions to include over 200 applications.
Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to
develop a data architecture roadmap that allows the leverage of
data and data strategies to be leveraged across ITW.
Drive improvement of capacity to deliver high quality solutions
that meet or exceed expectations.
Provide thought leadership to the enterprise around the data
solutions, business intelligence solutions and collaboration
Define, establish, measure and monitor attainment of IT service
level agreements (SLA) and software quality targets through
collaboration with other IT functions.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and
define associated training plans for business solutions team.
Define, develop and implement appropriate intake process
Oversees solution testing and support for current and future
business delivery models.
Directs and manages the functional support for business systems,
including content management and interactive solutions.
Ensures that all business solutions and systems meet business
Resource Management and Development:
Identify and sponsor advantageous continuous improvement efforts
aimed at enhancing the capabilities and productivity of the
Business Solutions team.
Evaluate and effectively deploy internal and external resources;
ensure that deliverables provided by each group meet business
Personnel development responsibilities include staff
development, performance management, talent management as well as
forecasting skills needs (and related training or development or
acquisition of those skills).
The Corporate IT organization is one organization – cross group
teamwork and communication is critical for success of the entire IT
team. There are multidimensional inter and intra dependencies
across the organization. Required interactions are with all the IT
Qualifications Position Requirements:
University degree in the field of computer science or
information systems. Master’s degree preferred in either of these
fields or Master of Business Administration with technology as a
10 years of experience managing and delivering IT services and
operational excellence, preferably at a manufacturing company.
10 years successfully leading teams of various disciplines
Minimum 2 years of experience with ERP systems including
implementation and production support.
A minimum of three end to end large project solution delivery
experiences to include data warehouse and analytics in last seven
Strong Business Acumen
Exceptional knowledge of Data Warehouse and /or Analytics in
Experience with systems design and development from business
requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management,
budgeting, and business office operations.
Well-rounded experience across various technology stacks for
data warehouse and analytics
Ability to attract and retain quality IT talent

Ability to make sound and logical judgments.
