The Digital Security Analyst is a front-line cyber security professional and a key member of the Security Operation Center (SOC) team. Digital Security Analysts work both independently and on teams and apply their broad digital security experience to the identification and resolution of security incidents. Digital Security Analysts have technical expertise and utilize the latest in network security technology to protect UL LLC's internal network. Digital Security Analysts are experienced cyber security professionals who work in a technically diverse and dynamic environment with a team of IT Security staff.

  • Perform monitoring and incident response actions as assigned.
  • Discover and perform analysis to resolve complex security related problems.
  • Support investigations and research for possible computer security related violations.
  • Perform audits to validate compliance with computer security policy.
  • Conduct network security assessments.
  • Conducting malware analysis
  • Monitor the security of clients, servers, applications, and network infrastructure.
  • Conduct log analysis to identify malicious activity and anomalous behavior.
  • Work on cross-functional Information Technology projects.
  • Support the certification and accreditation (C&A) of new and existing information systems and applications.
  • Support security projects that implement infrastructure, applications or systems solutions ensuring timely delivery of functional, technical and security requirements.
  • Support the analysis, design, and review of requirements of security related hardware and software.
  • Define, generate, and ensure the compliance of system documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support the planning, design, enforcement and auditing of security policies and procedures which safeguard
    infrastructure, systems, files and data.

  • University degree (equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree) or Associates Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required.
  • Generally 2-4 years of experience in a cybersecurity role or 5 years’ related experience.
  • Strong understanding of, and ability to apply, security principles in Windows, UNIX/Linux and/or Mac OS environments. Certification in Security and/or Networking Technologies. Experience with Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Management, and KALI toolsets
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with security regulations and standards such as FISMA and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools, Vulnerability Analysis, and Security specific ISO distributions.
