We care for the whole person-body, mind, and spirit-not just the disease, and work together with the patient, family, and other care partners to create a customized care plan that supports and respects their goals, preferences, and choices.Position OverviewThe Rabbi visits with patients and families and assesses their spiritual strengths, issues, and needs to provide non-judgmental support and care that is individual for each patient/family's needs. They also work with the patient's Rabbi to arrange for them to meet with the patient and family. The Rabbi provides prayers, readings, poems, blessings, and funeral services when asked to do so.Work Schedule -- Monday-Friday 8:30A-5P - Will be on an On-Call rotation 2-3 times/monthService Area(s) -- Glenview, Northbrook, Winnetka, Wilmette, Mt. Prospect, Prosepct HeightsRequirements for Rabbi position

• Master's degree in ministry, pastoral care, or pastoral counseling
• Clinical Pastoral Education, at least one (1) unit, preferred
• Understanding of human nature, divine revelation, and self-understanding
• 6 to 12 months experience as a Chaplain
• Experience in a clinical setting
• Certain positions require Pediatric skill competencies on an infant, toddler, preschool, school age or adolescent
• Compassion for people of other faiths or no faith
• Computer skills; Word, e-mail, patient database, internet, voicemail
• Knowledge of rituals and rites specific to denominations
