impact our future.Position Summary:We are currently looking for a
Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to join our team at Asahi Kasei
Bioprocess! The person in this role will support the maintenance
and continual improvement of AKBA's Quality Management System (QMS)
with a range of tasks and projects that will provide exposure to
various aspects of Quality Assurance (including record management,
database creation, supplier management, calibration, document
control, documentation review, etc.). This internship is designed
to be both educational and practical. In this position, the Intern
will gain a better understanding of the role of Quality Assurance
in organizations, especially in the bioprocess manufacturing
industry, and be better prepared for a career in QA. The Intern
will also learn how to apply their attention to detail and
communication skills in a professional
setting.Responsibilities:Participate in online searches for new
potential suppliers to supplement our supply chain and communicate
with these suppliers to determine whether they can meet our
criteria.Review and improve the database used for tracking
component serial numbers and lots of single-use tubing set
kits.Review QMS procedures and other documentation for currency and
determine whether revisions are needed, process needed document
revisions, and make new revisions effective.Extract asset
calibration-related data from EtQ Reliance, our digital QMS, to aid
in a calibration cost analysis project.Assist department with
turnover package documentation release checks.Other quality and
safety-related administrative tasks, as required.Special projects,
as assignedMinimum Requirements:High school diploma, or
equivalentWorking towards Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's
degree.Exceptional written and verbal communication
skillsIntermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft programsHigh
attention to detail, strong organizational skillsSelf-starter,
highly motivated to learnPreferred Skills:Previous work
experienceExperience with a quality standard such as ISO
9001Experience with a QMS management software (such as EtQ
