Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented technician to perform a secure on-site memory wipe of a Konica Minolta BizHub device with 256GB of internal storage . The memory wipe must comply with industry best practices for data sanitization, and verification of the completed wipe must be provided to the end customer . This is a local, on-site dispatch role in the Chicago area and is suited for independent technicians or field service contractors who specialize in office equipment, MFPs (Multi-Function Printers), or secure data destruction. Responsibilities: Travel on-site to the end customer's location in the Chicago area Perform a full data wipe of 256GB internal memory on the Konica Minolta BizHub device Follow manufacturer-recommended procedures for secure memory/data erasure Ensure the device is reset to factory default settings and no residual data remains Provide clear, verifiable documentation confirming the data wipe (e.g., system logs, wipe confirmation screen, or signed certificate) Maintain professionalism and customer service etiquette while on-site Requirements: Proven experience working with Konica Minolta BizHub devices or similar MFPs Familiarity with data sanitization standards (e.g., NIST 800-88 or manufacturer-specific secure erase) Ability to generate and provide wipe verification documentation Access to necessary tools and service manuals (or ability to source them) Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the Chicago area Must be able to pass any required background checks if applicable to customer policy Preferred Qualifications: OEM certification or training on Konica Minolta equipment Prior experience in secure asset decommissioning or ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) Experience working as a field technician or in bench dispatch roles Deliverables: Complete memory wipe of the BizHub's 256GB storage Documentation/proof of data sanitization (digital log or signed certificate) Customer sign-off upon successful completion Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
