Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Adult
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:30 AM -
7:00 PM) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License:
Current WI License Certifications: CPR/BLS, Flu vaccination
required Must-Have: - Experience in Med-surg Adult nursing -
Ability to float to other units as required - Availability to work
every other weekend and holiday Description: We are seeking
experienced nurses to join our team. The candidates must have a
current Wisconsin license and CPR/BLS certification. Registered
Nurses must be vaccinated for flu. This position primarily involves
adult surgical nursing with some pediatric patient beds. Travel
nurses may be required to float to other units. The position
entails working every other weekend and holiday during 12-hour
shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Essential duties and
responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and
collaborating with interdisciplinary team members in caring for
patients. Registered Nurses will administer prescribed medications
and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques,
policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws and
practice acts. Documentation will be required according to
standards of care. Developing, initiating, and executing a patient
plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient,
as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including
patient and family instruction is essential. Participation in
department or unit performance improvement activities may include
shared governance. Registered Nurses will utilize clinical
expertise and provide guidance to other units and departments in
support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Critical
thinking will be utilized regarding patient safety and patient
experience, with appropriate escalation to the appropriate chain of
